Daijiworld Media Network – Jaipur

Jaipur, Feb 3: The Rajasthan Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has issued notices to two British nationals, directing them to leave India for allegedly pasting posters carrying slogans related to Israel’s war on Gaza.

According to police officials, the posters displayed messages such as “Free Palestine” and “Boycott Israel.” The two foreign nationals were reportedly staying in India on tourist visas at the time of the incident.

The CID stated that the act amounted to a violation of visa conditions, which strictly prohibit foreign visitors on tourist visas from engaging in political activities. Additional Superintendent of Police (CID) Rajesh Meena said that any activity showing disrespect towards other countries while staying in India is considered a breach of visa norms.

He added that notices were issued under provisions of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, instructing the two British citizens to leave the country.

Pushkar, where the incident occurred, is a popular tourist destination that attracts a large number of foreign visitors, including tourists from Israel. Following the CID’s intervention, the posters were removed from public places, and police conducted checks in areas frequented by foreign tourists to ensure no similar material was displayed.

Israel has been facing protests across the world over its military action in Gaza. According to reports, over 71,000 Palestinians have been killed so far, with women and children accounting for more than half of the casualties. Israel is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice.
