Mangalruu, Jan 27: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, Mangaluru, successfully organised a collage making competition on January 23 in connection with the Republic Day celebrations.
The competition was conducted for students of BBA Aviation Management and Aviation Logistics and Management with the objective of encouraging creativity, artistic expression, and awareness of India’s rich historical heritage.
The theme of the competition was “Icons of Indian History”, which inspired students to creatively portray eminent leaders, freedom fighters, and national icons who played a significant role in shaping the nation. A total of 120 students participated with great enthusiasm, presenting visually appealing and meaningful collages that reflected patriotism, innovation, and a deep understanding of Indian history.






The event was organised under the guidance of Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, head of the department, NSS coordinators and with the support of the other faculty members and student council members of the Institute of Aviation Studies, whose continuous encouragement ensured the smooth conduct of the competition.
Based on the evaluation, Ayishath Sufaila, Fathima Zohara, Fathima Shaziya, Fathima Nihala, and Fathima Fayana secured the first prize. The first runners-up position was secured by Sreelakshmi C, Avani K M, Fathimathul Nasla V, Kavya K, and Malavika V V. The second runners-up position was shared by two teams comprising Samra Basheer, Likhitha, Rehaan, Muhammad Yousuf Farhan, Thoufeeq Hussain and Adithya S, Akasha, Kishor K Shetty, Manish Shetty, and Anvith S Poojary.
The competition concluded with words of appreciation for all participants, and the winners were congratulated for their outstanding performance. The event was contributed meaningfully to the Republic Day celebrations by fostering national pride, teamwork, and creative thinking among students.
