Srinivas University of Allied Health Sciences organises Book Drive Programme

Mangaluru, Jan 23: Srinivas Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Library & Lab Committee, successfully organized a Book Drive Programme on Monday, January 19 in, AHS Block, Mukka.

The Book Drive Programme was conducted to promote a culture of reading, encourage knowledge sharing, strengthen library resources, and foster social responsibility among students and faculty members. The initiative focused on the donation of academic textbooks and reference materials to enhance the institution’s learning resources.

The programme was graced by Prof Pavana Krishnamurthy, Srinivas University, who also serves as dean, Srinivas Institute of Allied Health Sciences, as the chief guest. Prashanth Kumar, librarian, Srinivas University, presided over the function and highlighted the importance of collective academic responsibility and resource sharing in higher education institutions.

Faculty members including Dr Devaseelan S (department of forensic science and cyber forensics), Riya (department of virology), Naveen Bappanadu (department of medical laboratory technology), Anusha (department of cardiovascular technology), and Vinutha (department of radiography and diagnostic technology) actively participated and extended their support to the initiative.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and students, reflecting the institution’s strong commitment to academic excellence and social responsibility.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all contributors, organizers, and participants who made the event meaningful and successful.
