Mumbai, Jan 22: Dr Sadanand R Shetty, hailing from the prestigious Deppaniguttu family of Atikaribettu, Mulki, in Mangaluru taluk of the undivided Dakshina Kannada district of coastal Karnataka, has been selected for the ‘Best Doctor–2026’ honour of Greater Mumbai. The recognition has been conferred as part of the Outlook Presentation – Best Doctors Mumbai–2026 list published annually by Neb Media.
The list has been prepared based on a survey conducted by Neb Media in association with a panel of medical consultants in Mumbai. This honour recognises the dedicated healthcare services rendered by doctors in the metropolitan city and is presented by Neb Media and its office-bearers in appreciation of their contribution to patient care.
A renowned medical professional in Mumbai, Dr Sadanand R Shetty (Sion) holds a Doctorate in Medicine (Cardiology), MD (Medicine), and has earned several national and international fellowships, including FACC, FSCAI (USA), FCPS, FISE, FICC, FICPI, FCSI and FESC. He has been widely recognised both in India and abroad for his contributions to the medical field.
Dr Shetty serves as a consultant at D Y Patil University School of Medicine, Navi Mumbai. He is the founder, executive chairman and managing director of Sadanand Healthy Living Centre Limited, Mumbai. He has also served as the President of the Cardiological Society of India, Mumbai, during the 2020–22 term, and is a national advisor to the Lipid Association of India. He is currently serving as a retired professor.
He is also the chief editor of patient education and lifestyle-related publications associated with the Cleveland Hall of Fame, founder of CVD India and CCA International, former president of the Cardiological Society of India, national advisor to the Lipid Association of India, and a member of the American College of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology. Additionally, Dr Shetty is the founder of the Sadanand G2S2 Foundation and has served as the editor of the Cardiology Book–2020, a compilation of clinical case studies.
The prestigious ‘Best Doctor–2026’ recognition further adds to Dr Sadanand R Shetty’s illustrious career and brings pride to his native Mulki and the coastal Karnataka region.
