Mangaluru, Jan 20: The Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Agnes Towards Community (ATC) of St Agnes College (Autonomous), in collaboration with the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Eliyarpadav and Abhijnya Physiotherapy and Wellness Clinic, successfully organised a physiotherapy consultation camp on January 18 at Holy Cross Church, Eliyarpadav.
The programme commenced with a prayer led by Ananya and group, invoking divine blessings for the successful conduct of the camp. The inaugural programme was compered by Ahyyan Hussain, who warmly welcomed the gathering and highlighted the objective of organizing the camp for the benefit of the local community, emphasising the importance of physical health and preventive care.








The camp was initiated and led by Dr Sunjyoth H S, founder, Abhijnya Physiotherapy and Wellness Clinic, Mangaluru. She provided professional physiotherapy consultations and expert guidance to the participants, addressing concerns related to body pain, mobility limitations, postural problems, neurological conditions, and overall physical well-being. Individual consultations were conducted, and practical advice was offered to the beneficiaries.
The dignitaries present on the occasion included Fr John D’Souza, parish priest; Vincent D’Souza, vice president, Church Committee; Agnes D’Souza, secretary, Church Committee; Maxim Pais, coordinator of 21 Commission; Prem Roche, president, Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM); Abhilash Kshatriya, founder, Abhijnya Services and proprietor, Abhijnya Education; Nimitha K, programme officer, Youth Red Cross; and Chethan, staff in-charge, Agnes Towards Community (ATC). Their presence and encouragement added significant value to the community outreach initiative.
Following the inaugural programme, the physiotherapy consultation session was conducted, during which a large number of community members benefited from professional consultation and personalised guidance.
The physiotherapy consultation camp proved to be a meaningful community service initiative creating awareness about physical health, preventive care, and the importance of physiotherapy, while providing accessible and effective healthcare support to the local community.
