Srinivas University Institute celebrates Makara Sankranti with cultural fervour

Mangaluru, Jan 16: Srinivas University, Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, department of interior design, department of BSc animation, and department of mass communication and media studies, organized Makara Sankranti celebrations on Thursday, January 15 at the Quadrangle, City Campus, Pandeshwara.

The celebration was graced by Prof Prashanth Prabhu, dean, Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, along with faculty members from various departments. Students and faculty enthusiastically participated in the festivities, which aimed to promote cultural values and togetherness.

As part of the celebration, several traditional games and fun activities were conducted for both students and faculty, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere. The occasion was further enriched by serving traditional Sankranti delicacies such as Panaka and Ellu Bella, symbolizing prosperity and harmony.

The event concluded on a cheerful note, fostering cultural awareness and strengthening the bond among students and faculty members.
