Mangaluru, Jan 15: The Kindergarten Sports Day 2026 of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru, held on Wednesday, January 14, burst into life with colour, cheer, and excitement. The event opened with a soulful prayer invoking God’s blessings, followed by a warm welcome address and a vibrant welcome act by the LKG students, perfectly setting the pace for a joyful, action-packed day.

The tiny tots stole the spotlight with their perfectly synchronized drill performance, proudly displaying their coordination, stamina, and true spirit of sportsmanship. The sports meet was formally inaugurated in a burst of colour as balloons were released, soaring high and symbolising joy, freedom, and enthusiasm. Adding grace and tradition to the occasion, the torch-bearing parade marched ahead with the little champions leading the way with pride.

The chief guest, Abhishek K R, the physical trainer of the school, inspired the budding athletes with his motivating words, emphasising the role of sports in nurturing discipline and shaping young minds. The principal, Sr Melissa, in her address, wished every child the very best and expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the teachers and parents for their invaluable support and active involvement.

Adding to the excitement, the nursery and kindergarten children delighted the audience with their lively mass drill performances, earning loud applause. The inaugural function concluded with a sincere vote of thanks, leaving behind smiles, applause, and treasured memories.

The day brimmed with exciting events, with every child participating wholeheartedly and radiating boundless enthusiasm. Winners were honoured with medals and certificates, celebrating both effort and excellence. The day ended in a lively mass dance by the UKG children, filling the air with joy and cheer.

Indeed, it was a day of fun, excitement, and tiny steps towards big milestones.
