Udupi, Jan 11: The Jnanasudha Institution has the strength to fulfill the dream of elders to nurture patriots who place the nation above caste and religion. The dedicated efforts of Sudhakar Shetty and his team are moving steadily towards meaningful success, said Udupi–Chikkamagaluru Member of Parliament Kota Srinivasa Poojary.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the Founders’ Day celebration and felicitation to the achievers programme of Jnanasudha Educational Institution, unit of Ajekar Padma Gopal Education Trust, held on January 10 at Vidya Nagar Greens, Manipal JnanaSudha.

















MP Kota Srinivas Poojary said that today India is emerging as a prosperous nation and has grown into a country of strength and self-respect. In such an India, an environment is being created for the rise of the next generation of nationalists.
Referring to government data, he said that due to a lack of children, around 7,000 schools in the state are likely to be closed this year. In contrast, when parents approach him requesting a seat for their child at Jnanasudha College, it fills him with surprise, happiness and pride, reflecting how high the institution has grown, he remarked.
Dr Sudhakar Shetty, president of the Ajekar Padmagopal Education Trust, welcomed the gathering and, in his introductory address, said that god can be found in simplicity, which leads a person to great heights. He urged students to cultivate simplicity in their lives. He advised students to cherish the noble values of parents and never cause them sorrow. He called upon them to love the nation, give up selfishness, and remain cautious about the growing menace of drugs in society. He warned that those involved in the drug trade may use youngsters as tools and ruin their lives. He urged students to obtain quality education, imbibe good values and build a bright future.
On the occasion, 227 students who secured MBBS admissions through the institution were felicitated. Twelve students who gained admission to IITs, IISc (Indian Institute of Science) and NITs through JEE Advanced and JEE Main, 41 students who secured ranks within the top 1,000 in KCET engineering, students who won awards at national-level sports and cultural competitions, students who passed the CA Foundation examination, alumni who cleared the CA Final examination, and students who qualified for the NDA were also honoured.
Additionally, on behalf of the 227 MBBS students, a contribution of Rs 2,000 per student, amounting to a total of Rs 4,54,000, was donated to the Indian Army.
Manipal Group chairman T Sudhakar Pai presided over the programme.
Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna and managing director of Udupi Adarsha Hospital Dr G S Chandrashekhar, director of Kanara Consumer Products Ltd, Jaya Sudhakar Pai and others were present on the occasion.
