Kuwait, Jan 8: Agnesian Alumnae Kuwait (AAK) celebrated the spirit of Christmas and marked a milestone 20th anniversary with its much-anticipated “Jingle & Jive” Christmas celebration, held amidst joy, camaraderie, and festive cheer. The event brought together alumnae members, guests, and well-wishers for an evening of gratitude, reflection, and celebration.
The programme commenced with a prayer by liturgical secretary Shareen Sequeira, invoking blessings and setting a meaningful tone for the evening. This was followed by the president’s welcome address, in which the president Celine Mendonca warmly greeted the gathering, reflected on the association’s journey, and expressed heartfelt appreciation to members for their continued support and unity over the past two decades.
Highlighting the significance of the milestone, the vice president Kavita D’Souza delivered a special address on the 20th Anniversary, reminiscing on the humble beginnings of the Alumnae Association, its growth over the years, and the strong bonds of friendship and service that continue to define it today.
The evening was filled with festive energy as guests enthusiastically participated in interactive games, fostering laughter and fellowship. The celebrations were further enhanced by an elegant Table Centrepiece Competition, showcasing the talent and enthusiasm of the members.
The winners of the Christmas Dress-Up Competition, held earlier as part of the festive celebrations, were announced during the event, adding to the joy and excitement of the celebration.
Music and dance took centre stage as the lively beats kept the dance floor buzzing, truly living up to the theme “Jingle & Jive.” The festive décor, lighting, and sound arrangements added to the vibrant ambience of the celebration.
A lively game of Housie Housie was conducted and was enjoyed by all present.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by advisory committee member, Annet Castelino expressing sincere gratitude to the compere Reshma Patrao for skillfully anchoring the programme, the DJ Raiton Menezes providing honorary and energetic musical entertainment, and the caterers Hotel Rajdhani for the delicious food enjoyed by all. Special appreciation was extended to the organising committee, beautiful décor by Manoj and Amar, sound system providers, sponsors, and all committee members, whose dedication and teamwork ensured the grand success of the event.
The “Jingle & Jive” celebration not only commemorated 20 years of the alumnae association but also reaffirmed its spirit of togetherness, gratitude, and joyful celebration—making it a truly memorable evening for everyone present.
