Mangaluru, Jan 6: Milagres Central School celebrated its Annual Day for the academic year 2025–2026 with great enthusiasm and splendour at the Milagres Jubilee Hall, Mangaluru. The occasion was marked by the gracious presence of esteemed dignitaries, respected parents, teachers, students, and well-wishers.
The dignitaries were ceremoniously escorted to the venue by the school band. The celebration was presided over by Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions. The chief guest, Dr Alwin Serrao, campus director, Milagres Educational Institutions, was accorded a warm welcome. Other distinguished guests included Dr Diana Lobo, principal, Milagres College of Nursing, and Fr Uday Fernandes, principal, Milagres Central School and Fr Avith Pais, assistant parish priest Milagres Church.


























The programme commenced with a solemn prayer song by the school choir, invoking God’s blessings on the gathering. A vibrant welcome dance set a joyful tone for the celebration, followed by charming performances by the LKG and UKG students, which delighted the audience.
The welcome address and annual report were presented by the principal, highlighting the academic achievements, co-curricular accomplishments, and overall progress of the school during the year.
The gathering was inspired by the addresses delivered by the presidential address by Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, who shared words of wisdom and encouragement.
The prize distribution ceremony recognised students for general proficiency, Annual Day competitions, and outstanding academic performance.
Special felicitation was given to the class X meritorious students of the academic year 2024–2025, including the recipients of the founder’s prizes.
The chief guest, Dr Alwin Serrao, addressed the gathering. In his address, highlighted the vital role of the three key stakeholders students, parents, and teachers—in ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of the school.
• He appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation in academics, co-curricular, and cultural activities, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence.
• Addressing parents, he emphasized the importance of instilling discipline and strong values in their children and investing in their education to secure a confident and successful future.
• He also urged teachers to teach with love and creativity, to motivate and inspire students, and to nurture their talents with dedication and care.
Fr Uday Fernandes, principal Milagres Central School felicitated the dignitaries with mementos of appreciation as a mark of gratitude and respect. The gesture acknowledged their valuable presence to the programme. The moment added grace and dignity to the occasion, reflecting the institution’s spirit of hospitality and thankfulness.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by the cultural programme and the school anthem.
