Mangaluru, Jan 2: The St Aloysius College Alumni Association (SACAA) will organise the second edition of the SACAA Treasure Hunt exclusively for its alumni and students as part of the institution’s Founder’s Day celebrations on Sunday, January 4. The event will commence at 8 am from Loyola Hall (Gate No. 10) of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) campus.
The four-wheeler-based automotive event will be flagged off by Fr Praveen Martis, pro vice-chancellor of the University. The programme is organised by convener Sumith S Rao with the support of SACAA president Anil Kumar and secretary Conrad Nazareth.

The treasure hunt is designed as a fun, clue-based activity rather than a race, with participants navigating a predefined route across various locations in Mangaluru. Winners will be decided through a points-based system. Two prizes each will be awarded in the general category and the women’s category. Prizes will include trophies and cash awards, while all participants will receive certificates of participation.
Each team may consist of up to four members, with at least one Aloysian alumnus, student or staff member. Parents are also encouraged to join teams. Spot registrations will be available on the day of the event, with a registration fee of Rs 1,000 per team.
Mandovi Motors Pvt Ltd, authorised dealers for Maruti cars, and Ramnath Enterprises, distributors of Servo lubricants, are the main sponsors of the event.
