Beltangady: Body of missing youth found in Netravathi river at Belalu village

Belthangady, Dec 30: The body of Rajesh P (30), a resident of Purusharabetu in Belalu, who had been reported missing, was found in the Netravathi river at Balipe in Belalu village on Tuesday, December 30.

Rajesh had left his house on the morning of December 27 and failed to return, following which he was reported missing. Family members and local residents carried out a search operation, but he could not be traced.

Subsequently, the matter was reported to the Dharmasthala police, who intensified the search. During the search operation, Rajesh’s body was discovered this morning in the Netravathi river at Balipe, police said.

Officials from the Dharmasthala police station rushed to the spot and conducted an inspection. Further investigation is under way.
