St Agnes High School, Bendore celebrates Christmas with joyful cultural programme

Mangaluru, Dec 24: The Christmas celebration was joyfully conducted in at St Agnes High School, Bendore by class 9A. The programme began with a solemn prayer, seeking blessings of new born Jesus, for peace, love, and harmony. Graceful welcome dance was performed to begin the programme.

This was followed by a warm welcome speech by Rukmini, in which the gathering was greeted. The significance of Christmas was briefly explained. Students presented a traditional Christmas play, depicting the story the birth of Jesus and the message of love, humility, and sharing. As a part of celebration an interesting a quiz on Christmas was conducted by Sangeetha and Rukmini, the winners were given the prizes.

A lively shepherd dance added colour and joy to the celebration. An energetic contemporary dance conveyed the theme of hope and togetherness.

The whole class sang the Christmas carols melodiously in Kannada. Santa Clause entertained the students by giving the chocolates and even performed a vibrant dance.

The students who won the first place in 'Navidad' organized by St Agnes College (Autonomous) were felicitated. The headmistress Sr Gloria AC congratulated the class teacher Roopa Shetty for guiding the students. She even appreciated the efforts of the students in presenting a meaningful Christmas programme.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Sangeetha. She expressed gratitude to the management, teachers, students, and all those who contributed to the success of the celebration. Programme was skilfully compered by Yallamna and Santhosh. Carol singing competition was conducted on the day to showcase the musical talents of the students.
