Mangaluru, Dec 18: Mangaluru is set to usher in the Christmas season with Cake & Wine, a special Christmas carnival by the beach, scheduled to be held on Sunday, December 21, from 3 pm onwards at Blue Bay Beach, Tannirbhavi.
The festive carnival is being organised as part of Karavali Utsava 2025, presented by the District Administration of Dakshina Kannada, in association with the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka. The event is curated by Stonebridge Entertainment, with Blue Bay Beach as the venue partner.
Envisioned as a family-friendly seaside celebration, Cake & Wine promises a vibrant blend of food, music, art, shopping and interactive experiences, set against the scenic coastal backdrop of Tannirbhavi. The event is designed to appeal to both local residents and visiting tourists, offering a relaxed yet lively festive atmosphere.
One of the key highlights of the carnival is the participation of the Karnataka Wine Board, which will showcase and demonstrate wines produced within the state. Visitors will be offered insights into local grape varieties, wine-making processes, tasting techniques and the evolving wine culture of Karnataka, adding an educational and experiential dimension to the celebration.
The carnival will feature a wide range of curated stalls offering clothing, accessories, festive décor, artisanal products and lifestyle brands. Food and beverage counters will serve Christmas specials, desserts, cakes and wine experiences. Adding a creative element to the event, a pottery workshop conducted by Clay Home will invite visitors of all ages to try their hand at clay art.
Live band performances are expected to keep the festive spirit alive through the evening, while a dedicated children’s play area will ensure entertainment for younger visitors, allowing families to enjoy the event together.
With its mix of shopping, culinary delights, creative workshops, live entertainment and wine experiences, Cake & Wine aims to deliver an inclusive Christmas celebration that reflects the cultural vibrancy and tourism spirit of Karavali Utsava 2025.
Entry to the carnival is priced at Rs 200, making it accessible to a wide audience.
