Brahmavar, Dec 15: A man lost his life following a clash between youths over a trivial issue at Padukere in Kotathattu village of Brahmavar taluk on late Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Santosh Mogaveera (30), a resident of Padukere.

According to sources, a group of youths who had recently returned from Sabarimala had gathered for a late-night drinking party on Sunday. An argument reportedly broke out over a minor issue, which soon escalated into a violent clash. During the altercation, Santosh Mogaveera was brutally assaulted and collapsed on the spot.
With the help of local residents, he was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Brahmavar. However, he succumbed to his injuries despite treatment.
On receiving information, Brahmavar circle inspector Gopikrishna, Kota police sub-inspector Praveen Kumar T, station ASI Manthesh Jabagoudar, along with head constables Pradeep and Ashok, visited the spot and conducted an inspection. Police have taken four youths into custody in connection with the incident and are continuing further investigation.
A case has been registered at Kota police station.
