Udupi, Dec 14: To add to the festive cheer of Christmas, Daijiworld Udupi, in association with Kishoo Enterprises, has announced the Abharan Jewellery ‘Godali Sadagara 2025’ Christmas Crib Photo Contest, inviting participants to showcase their creativity and festive spirit.

The contest will be held in two categories — Individual and Group.

The competition celebrates the age-old tradition of crib-making, an integral part of Christmas symbolising the birth of Lord Jesus Christ. Across the world, families, church groups, associations and youth teams enthusiastically create cribs that blend devotion with creativity. While homes feature thoughtfully designed cribs, larger and more elaborate displays are often seen at church premises and community spaces, reflecting teamwork and artistic excellence.

Now in its eighth edition, the Godali Sadagara contest aims to encourage and preserve this cherished cultural and spiritual tradition. Participants can submit photographs of their cribs on or before Tuesday, November 30, 2025, through the official submission link provided by the organisers.

Attractive prizes will be awarded in both categories, including first, second and third prizes, along with five consolation prizes in each category. Over the years, the contest has seen enthusiastic participation, inspiring contestants to push creative boundaries while preserving the true message of Christmas.

Daijiworld Udupi and Kishoo Enterprises have encouraged individuals, institutions, churches and youth groups to participate and make the 2025 edition a celebration of craftsmanship, community and Christmas spirit.

Rules and conditions

• Creativity in crib-making and the Christmas message will be given high importance.
• Photographs with watermarks will not be accepted.
• Photos must be clear with a minimum resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels.
• The competition will be held in Individual and Group categories.

1. Individual category: Home.
2. Group category: Church/Association/Institution/Ward.
3. A maximum of four photographs (wide shots and close-ups) and one two-minute reel or video can be submitted.

• One photograph featuring the crib maker (individual or team) must be included.

1. In each category, first, second, third and five consolation prizes will be awarded.
2. Submissions must include the participant or team name, place name, complete address and contact number.

• All photos and videos must be submitted only through the designated submission link.
• The judges’ decision will be final.
• Only cribs made in 2025 will be considered. Edited or AI-generated images will not be accepted.
• All participants in both Individual and Group categories (including group members) will receive an e-gift voucher from Abharan Jewellery, Udupi.
• All participants will also receive an e-certificate of participation.

1. E-gift vouchers and certificates will be emailed on or before January 10.

Prizes

Individual category
First prize: Rs 5,000 + trophy + certificate
Second prize: Rs 3,000 + trophy + certificate
Third prize: Rs 2,000 + trophy + certificate

Group category
First prize: Rs 7,000 + trophy + certificate
Second prize: Rs 5,000 + trophy + certificate
Third prize: Rs 4,000 + trophy + certificate

Five consolation prizes worth Rs 1,000 each will be awarded in every category.
