Woman mauled to death by tiger

Chandrapur, Dec 14: A 45-year-old woman was killed in a tiger attack in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district on Saturday, forest officials said.

The incident took place in the Sindewahi forest range during the evening.

The victim, identified as Aruna Arun Raut, had gone to a farm to collect cotton when a tiger attacked and killed her, said Range Forest Officer Anjali Sayankar.

Forest department personnel rushed to the spot after receiving information and further details are being ascertained.
