Mangaluru: Ullal police arrest three in raid on alleged MDMA sale in Talapady

Mangaluru, Dec 8: The Ullal police arrested three men after conducting a raid at Tachchani in Talapady village, acting on what officials described as “credible information” regarding the sale of the banned narcotic substance MDMA in the area.

The accused have been identified as Abdul Rawoof (30), Shareef alias Amin (34), and Niyaz (23).

Police said they seized 42 grams of MDMA, a Toyota car, three mobile phone handsets, and Rs 2,500 in cash from the suspects.

According to investigators, preliminary inquiries revealed that Niyaz had arrived at the spot to purchase MDMA, a detail police noted had emerged “during the course of the investigation.”

Police added that another suspect, Salaam, fled the scene during the raid and is currently absconding.

A case has been registered at the Ullal police station, and further investigation is underway.
