Udupi: Rice mill gutted in fire due to electric short circuit in Kokkarne

Udupi, Dec 6: A fire broke out due to an electrical short circuit at the Bhageerathi Oil Mill near Kokkarne bus stand in Brahmavar taluk.

The blaze erupted in the evening, engulfing stored coconut oil and copra inside the factory. A major portion of the mill was gutted in the flames.

Fire and emergency services personnel from Udupi rushed to the spot and successfully extinguished the fire.

No casualties were reported.
