Mangaluru, Dec 2: The first-ever Carmel Food Fete 2025, held on November 29 at Carmel School, Kotekar, was a vibrant and joy-filled celebration that brought together students, parents—past and present—alumni, teachers, well-wishers, and sponsors in a beautiful spirit of togetherness. The campus came alive with colorful decorations, cheerful music, and the irresistible aroma of delicious food, creating a perfect carnival ambience.
The programme commenced with a serene prayer song, setting a reverent tone for the day. The event was graced by Sr Julian Mary AC, joint secretary and superior, Stella Maris Convent, chief guest Roy Castelino, proprietor of Roy Constructions, managing director of Roycons Builders and Developers Private Limited, Mangaluru, guest of honour Jayanth Kondana, Entrepreneur, benefactor, and well-wisher, Sr Pramila AC, principal,m Sr Julie Ann AC, administrator, Sr Anitha AC, vice principal, Sudheer, PTA vice president, and Veekshitha Sanil, PTA coordinator.

Principal Sr Pramila AC extended a heartfelt welcome to the guests and expressed deep gratitude to parents, staff, students, PTA members, sponsors, and volunteers whose collective effort made this dream a reality.
The Food Fete was formally inaugurated by Roy Castelino, who unveiled the theme and declared the event open. In his inspiring inaugural address, he appreciated the meticulous planning and excellent arrangements, congratulating the management and the entire team for creating a platform that fosters creativity, teamwork, and community bonding. He highlighted how events like the Food Fete nurture entrepreneurial skills among students and strengthen the school–community relationship. He further encouraged everyone present to join hands in building a clean, corruption-free, harmonious India.
Tokens of appreciation were presented by Sr Julie Ann AC to Roy Castelino and Jayanth Kondana for their unwavering support. The ceremony concluded with a warm vote of thanks delivered by Akshatha, acknowledging everyone who contributed to the success of the fete. The inauguration was smoothly compered by Yajna, who ensured a seamless flow of the programme.
Following the inauguration, students captivated the audience with a vibrant cultural programme featuring energetic dance performances and stage acts that reflected their enthusiasm and talent.
The campus buzzed with excitement as a variety of fun-filled games drew enthusiastic participation from children, parents, and visitors alike. Laughter echoed through the grounds as everyone enjoyed the challenges and surprises at the game stalls.
The most awaited segment—the Food Fete—offered an irresistible spread of street snacks, savory delicacies, refreshing mocktails, fruit juices, ice creams, cool drinks, and traditional treats. The food counters were abuzz throughout the day as families relished the diverse flavors prepared with great care and creativity.
The day’s events were lively compered by Pratheesh Gowrish and Saritha, whose hum our, spirited announcements, and engaging interactions added charm and energy to the celebration.
The Carmel Food Fete 2025 concluded on a joyful and fulfilling note, leaving behind cherished memories of fellowship, celebration, and unity. The overwhelming success of this maiden fete not only created a day of fun and togetherness but also strengthened the bond among parents, teachers, students, alumni, sponsors, and well-wishers.
