Bengaluru/Mangaluru, Nov 29: Alice Colaco (97), wife of the late Fabian Brunei Louis Colaco, passed away peacefully on November 29. Born as Alice Pereira on January 20, 1929, to the late Santhan Joachim Pereira and the late Assis Pereira, she lived a life marked by grace, devotion and compassion.
She is survived by her children — Fred Colaco (wife Angela), Ronald Colaco (wife Jean), Joe Colaco (wife Asha), late Jacintha Rosario (husband Alphonso) and Laveena Crasta (husband Thomas). She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren Sharon, Petula, Nigel (wife Nikita), Randal (wife Muriel), Nikita (husband Aman Mohan), Nihal, Kenneth (wife Jennifer), Kevin (wife Bhavini) and Swapnil, and great-grand child Amelia, along with a large circle of relatives and well-wishers.

Alice was deeply respected and cherished by all who knew her. Her gentle nature, unwavering faith and dedication to her family earned her immense affection within the community.
Chief minister Siddaramaiah, deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar, Speaker of the Assembly U T Khader, health minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, home minister Dr G Parameshwara, energy minister K J George, MLC Dr Arathi Krishna and chairman of the Karnataka State Allied and Healthcare Council Dr U T Ifthikar Ali have all expressed their condolences to the bereaved family on the demise of Alice Colaco.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, at 11.00 am at St Patrick’s Church, Brigade Road, followed by burial at St Patrick’s Church Cemetery (Gate No. 6), Langford Town, Shantinagar, Bengaluru. Those who wish to view her mortal remains and pay their respects may do so from 10.00 am to 11.00 am until funeral service begins.
She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched. May her soul rest in peace.
