Mysuru, Nov 28: The world-famous Mysuru Dasara achieved another milestone with its spectacular drone show, which drew the attention of Guinness World Records officials for its remarkable visual display.
According to a post shared on global record-keeping authority Guinness World Records on social media platform X on November 24, an extraordinary image of a tiger was created in the night sky over Mysuru, Karnataka, using 2,983 drones as part of the 2025 Dasara celebrations.
Mysuru Dasara, known as Nada Habba, is one of Karnataka’s most grand and long-standing cultural festivals, celebrated for its majestic splendour, historical significance, and ability to unify diverse communities in a festive spirit.
Energy minister K J George said the achievement reflects the government’s commitment to creating memorable experiences for the people.
Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) managing director K M Munigopal Raju stated that nearly 3,000 drones were used this year. He explained that the tiger image, which captured the attention of Guinness officials, was created using around 3,000 drones.
Raju added that CESC partnered with BotLab Dynamics for the drone show. The displays included depictions of the solar system, world map, a proud Indian soldier, peacock, national animal tiger, dolphin, eagle, Lord Krishna performing the serpent dance, Goddess Kaveri, Karnataka map featuring Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar with the five guarantee schemes, the Ambari elephant, and the presiding deity Chamundeshwari.
He further said that around Rs 3 crore was spent for the four-day drone show.
