Udupi, Nov 28: Prime minister Narendra Modi on Thursday shared his happiness on social media ahead of his scheduled visit to Udupi’s Sri Krishna Math on Friday, November 28.

In his post, the prime minister said, “It is an honour to visit Udupi’s Sri Krishna Math tomorrow, November 28, to take part in the Laksha Kantha Geeta Parayana. This special gathering brings together people from various sections of society for the collective recitation of the Gita. This Math holds great cultural significance for us. Inspired by Sri Madhvacharya, it has always been at the forefront of serving society.”

Prime Minister Modi will visit Sri Krishna Math in Udupi, where he will participate in the ‘Laksha Kantha Geeta Parayana,’ a mass recitation of the Bhagavad Gita involving one lakh participants, including students, seers, scholars, and people from various walks of life. The prime minister will witness the collective chanting of the sacred text.

During the visit, he will also inaugurate the ‘Suvarna Teertha Mantapa,’ located in front of the sanctum sanctorum of the Sri Krishna Temple. In addition, he will dedicate the ‘Kanaka Kavacha’ at Kanakana Kindi, the spot where Kanakadasa is believed to have had a divine vision of Lord Krishna.
