Why can't our traffic police force take action? All the pvt bus drivers know that the department is very lethargic. What public has done is adorable but everywhere it is not feasible. I have seen on Tokkottu/ Ullal route same story. What about the door installation? Though judiciary has given order implementation seems very poor. Where are our elected representatives? May be waiting to get publicity?

A few drivers break Rules shamelessly. Public should teach them the required lesson. The R.T.O. need install a traffic signal post at the junction where KSRTC buses enter and exit. Rash drivers are a misfit /mrnace.. So let them do farming for their income. Atleast the public will remain safe on roads. R.T.O./ police/ Courts need confiscate and cancel their driving licence and permit.

Number 15 bus is notorious for rash driving. Happy that finally somebody showed courage to stop this bus and hand it over to police. There are more buses in this route15. Action should be taken towards them too.

All drivers must strictly adhere to posted speed limits at all times. Exceeding the designated speed limit—regardless of road conditions, time of day, or traffic volume—is strictly prohibited. Violators will be subject to immediate penalties, including fines, demerit points, and possible suspension of driving privileges and revoke of license. Zero tolerance will be applied to over speeding.

The fact that the public had to get united and stop the bus displays the state of apathy of the Traffic Police. They will hide behind the bushes and park themselves at the blind spots to stop the bikes, cars and demand to verify the documents but not bother to even look at the direction of the speeding buses. I have randomly been stopped by the traffic cops and often been bullied for not carrying the original documents. And my fault for being stopped by the cops was that I was following the traffic rules. So, we today have a situation where, you don't commit an offence but get stopped, inspected and at times bullied. Once when I stopped myself to report to the traffic constable on the negligent driving of a bus driver in front of both of us, his reply was, you are free to contact the Asst Commissioner. He refused to taction on the negligent driver. My question to the cops is, do they issue a separate license to the private city buses where they are permitted to drive negligently and also bully the frightened pedestrians and the ones who are following the traffic rules. If so, what is the fee for such privileged treatment, where the Constables, Sub Inspectors are so fearful of halting the errant bus drivers. Or, please come clean on why the buses are still plying on the road in spite of flaunting every rule, including installing the basic doors. And, once when I donned the role of a Robinhood and stopped a bus driver for his negligent driving which had rammed into a car, his response was: namma trip cancel aguthe! And my honest response was, trip mathra alla, nimma permit sa cancel agabeku. It is high time the city bus drivers, let others on the road drive peacefully and most importantly also adhere to the rules and regulations which we all need to. Today, I salute the members of the Public who got together and stopped the rogue bus driver. May the tribe grow. Happy to get into a conversation with the authorities to know why this crime prevails!

Strict penalties should be imposed on drivers who endanger the lives of others. This will also serve as a strong warning to other bus drivers and owners.

Mangaladevi to Surathkal, 15 number bus drivers and conductors are the most notorious duo in Mangalore, they think they rule the roads, and the roads have been built only for them, they don't issue tickets and are least bothered about the commuters, their only agenda for the full day is collection, fights and accidents, which results to death of the innocents.. The police has to look at this nuisance and punish them so that they think thrice before speeding and causing damage..

These private bus drivers are a Menace, most of the drivers & conductors are illiterate and assume they are a law unto themselves. They have the backing of their filthy rich owner's with the right political / RTO / Police connection's & care 2 hoots to the safety of passengers and commuters. before things get worse they should be reigned in, in this instance and I hope in future too - the public actually should gherao & hands them to the cops - unless and until this happens, we will continue to be at the mercy of these reckless drivers & conductors. Mangalore Police / RTO should have a helpline wherein the public can contact hem and report cases of Rash / negligent driving - (Accelerate - KEEP HONKING USING SHRILL HORNS - Sudden brakes - Roller coaster turns & speed again) -

City bus drivers are ruthless and very hyper in their behavior and action as well. Must suspend the driving license for a week or 15 days so that will take note.
