Bantwal: Case booked for using sound system beyond permitted limits

Bantwal, Nov 25: Bantwal city police have registered a case under the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, against a family in Bhandaribettu, Bantwal, for allegedly using a sound system at volumes higher than the permitted limit and causing public disturbance on the night of November 22.

Acting on information received about loud and unauthorised use of sound amplifiers causing nuisance, the Bantwal city police visited the spot for verification.

During inspection, it was found that DJ sound equipment was being used loudly for a wedding function without obtaining prior permission.
