November is usually the period when dew formation and cold weather are expected. Rain during this season can adversely affect agriculture. A progressive farmer said that arecanut trees may fail to yield properly and may begin shedding immature nuts. Newly harvested arecanut also cannot be dried, causing further difficulty.
Farmers added that hybrid paddy is currently being cultivated, and unseasonal rains could lead to diseases. Fodder availability may also shrink due to the rainfall, creating challenges for farmers who depend on straw.
