Mangaluru, Nov 19: Ladyhill English Medium Higher Primary School (ICSE) was filled with colour, laughter, and boundless enthusiasm as Ladyhill Festiva 2K25 – Children’s Day Bash unfolded on November 14 as part of the glorious diamond jubilee celebrations. The school grounds transformed into a vibrant hub of joy, welcoming parents, students, alumni, sponsors, and well-wishers who gathered to be part of this unforgettable celebration.
The event commenced with a ceremonial escort led by the spirited school band, gracefully ushering the distinguished guests chief guest Suchitra P Kudva (BSc, Diploma in Home Science), joint secretary of Ladyhill Educational Institutions Sr Maria Kripa AC, principal Sr Jenifer Moras AC, PTA vice president Paresh Narendra, and Renilda Mascarenhas, former teacher. Their arrival set a tone of honour and warmth for the festivities ahead.

A soulful prayer song by the teachers invoked divine blessings, following which the principal, Sr Jenifer Moras AC, offered heartfelt words of welcome and the dignitaries were greeted with a green token. The much-awaited moment arrived when the chief guest inaugurated the grand fest by popping the balloons with a magic wand, revealing the vibrant display of ‘Ladyhill Festiva 2K25’ and beautifully heralding the burst of joy, colour, and celebration that awaited the crowd.
In her address, the chief guest, Suchitra P Kudva, fondly appreciated the school’s dynamic activities, its commitment to holistic education, and expressed pride that her own children had once walked the corridors of Ladyhill School. The stage then witnessed a special prize distribution ceremony, as the chief guest felicitated the Playhome and Kindergarten parents who had won various competitions held earlier.
A heart-touching gesture followed when Nisha D’Souza, PTA secretary, expressed gratitude to the former PTA members by presenting roses, acknowledging their remarkable service with the touching sentiment: “Once a Ladyhill family, always a Ladyhill family.” The vote of thanks was delivered by Paresh Narendra, PTA vice president, marking a graceful conclusion to the formal programme.
The chief guest then inaugurated the colourful array of stalls, officially opening the grounds for a day of unlimited fun.
The cultural segment sparkled with energy as dynamic comperes Wilita Lobo, Cyril Fernandes, and Nisha D'Souza masterfully guided the programme. Wilita set the stage ablaze with her lively dance steps, soon joined by enthusiastic students, marking the grand opening of the dance floor.
The day brimmed with singing, dazzling dance performances, traditional chende drumming by the students, and spirited PTA dances, showcasing the unity and creativity of the Ladyhill family. With DJ beats electrifying the atmosphere, children danced with pure joy throughout the day.
A wide variety of attractions, including Housie-Housie, Jumble Sale, Jumping Jack, the lively Selfie Corner ‘Cherished Clicks’, and an exciting mix of games, food stalls, and mehendi counters, kept visitors engaged at every turn.
Ladyhill Festiva 2K25 was more than an event it was a celebration of community, gratitude, togetherness, and the innocent joy of Children’s Day. The resounding success of the Festiva reaffirmed the spirit of Ladyhill: united, vibrant, and ever-growing.
