Udupi, Nov 18: The valedictory ceremony of Avishkar 2K25, organized by Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), Udupi, concluded with grandeur and enthusiasm. The multi-day convention showcased innovation, creativity, and talent from high schools, PU colleges, and institutions across the region.
The function was graced by chief guest Dr Ashoka Kamath, principal and deputy director for school education (development) who in his address thanked high school and PU teachers for motivating students to participate. He emphasized that hosting such events enriches creativity and enhances students’ thinking capacity.
Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal delivered the presidential remarks, highlighting the importance of nurturing young innovators. Dr Nagaraj Bhat, in his address, inspired the participants with his words of encouragement and motivated them to pursue innovation with confidence. Dr Subbulakshmi N Karanth, convenor of Avishkar 2K25, presented the detailed program report.
The list of students who won the prizes in P U college category for model competitions are Srajan and Prateesh (1st Viveka P U College Kota). Swapnil Seal (2nd Jnana Sudha Pre University College Udupi). Mohith Rao, Glanson and Joshua (Poorna Prajna PU College Udupi) and consolation prize won by Yash Amol Kulkarni (St Mary's English Medium School Kannarpady Udupi) Dheemanth Reddy, Shrishan and Partha (Excellent PU College Sunnar) and Shayan, Manish and Gagan (Sujnan Pre-University College) respectively. Quiz first prize won by Aryan Farook, Mithil Ramesh, Shriyan (St Mary’s English Medium School, Kannarpady Udupi) second prize Deeksha Dinesh and Tanishka K Shetty (Jnanasudha Pre-University College, Udupi) and third prize won by Shamanth B Shetty and Shridhan G Pai (Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar).
In the high school category for model completion first prize won by K Praveer Raj and Nikshep U (SMS English Medium (CBSE) School, Brahmavar), second prize by Anish, Adithya and Yashas (GPUC High School Section, Sanoor) third prize Rhenal Picardo, Awaan Mansoor and Nutan (SMS English Medium (CBSE) School, Brahmavar) consolation prizes won by, Shriprada R Upadhya and Prakhyath R Udupa (Indrali English Medium High School), Ayush S Shetty Anush S Suvarna and Jeeval Udaya Salian Sagar Vidya Mandir, Padubidri and Aditya Sharad Bangera (Sri Lakshmi Janardhan International School, Nandalike, Belman (Sri Lakshmi Janardhan International School, Nandalike, Belman) respectively quiz competition first second and third won by Skanda Bhat K and Aneesh Bhat (NITK English Medium School, Srinivasnagar Surathkal) Nutan and Shishir Hatwar (SMS English Medium (CBSE) School, Brahmavar) and Dishan J Poojary , Adhithya Kedlaya (Ambalpady Kidiyoor Vidyasamudra English Medium School, Kidiyoor Ambalpady) respectively.
