Maco Sangha receives special award; president Ivan D’Souza accepts honour

Mangaluru, Nov 18: The Mangaluru Autorickshaw and Car Drivers’ Cooperative (Maco Sangha) has been honoured with a special award at the state-level celebrations of the 72nd All India Cooperative Week – 2025 held in Bengaluru.

MLC Ivan D’Souza, who is also the president of Maco Sangha, received the award on behalf of the cooperative, which recently completed its golden jubilee.

The honour was presented by G T Devegowda, president of the Karnataka State Cooperative Federation, at a programme jointly organised by the Karnataka State Cooperative Federation, Karnataka State Cooperative Marketing Federation, and the Dakshina Kannada District Central Cooperative Bank.

The award recognises the notable contributions and initiatives undertaken by Maco Sangha in the cooperative sector.
