Mangaluru, Nov 17: CODP organised a training programme on gender equality on November 17 at its premises, in collaboration with Bangalore KROSS and CODP Mangalore, under the Women Empowerment Project.
The programme was attended by Rajshekhar, coordinator of the Women Empowerment Project, KROSS Bangalore; Dr Rohan S Monis, chief administrative officer of Kanachur Hospital, Deralakatte, and head of the external team for gender equality and justice at CODP; Merlin Martis, head of Deeds Social Service; Seema, secretary of Manini State Women’s Federation; and Fr Vincent D’Souza, director of CODP.







Speaking on the occasion, Merlin Martis stressed the importance of gender equality and justice within families and highlighted the need for parents to create awareness among children from a young age. She explained how CODP’s internal and external teams under the Gender Equality and Justice initiative can conduct training and awareness programmes in the community.
The session was conducted by Supriya, coordinator of the Women Empowerment Project. Fr Vincent D’Souza welcomed the gathering, and Seema proposed the vote of thanks.
