Center of Excellence in Cyber Immunity & Digital Forensics inaugurated at MIT Kundapura

Kundapur, Nov 13: The research cell of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology Kundapura, organised the inaugural ceremony of the Center of Excellence in Cyber Immunity and Digital Forensics Lab on November 12.

The programme began with an invocation song by Keerthana, Rashmi, and Hema, followed by a welcome address delivered by Anjali.

Dr Indra Vijay Singh, director and dean – research and consultancy, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the growing importance of cybersecurity and digital forensics in today’s digital era.

Prof Shrinidhi N introduced the chief guest, Vijayant Gaur, after which the dignitaries performed the traditional lighting of the lamp, marking the beginning of a new chapter in cyber research and innovation.

Chief guest Vijayant Gaur, director general of the Cyber Security Association of India, Delhi, delivered an inspiring address, stressing the need for greater cyber awareness, digital defence systems, and the practical use of digital forensics in countering modern cyber threats.

Principal Dr Ramakrishna Hegde and vice principal Dr Melvin D’Souza addressed the gathering, commending the coordinated efforts that led to the establishment of the advanced facility.

Academic director Dr S N Bhat also graced the occasion and extended his best wishes for the continued success of the initiative.

Srajan K, security officer of the lab, played a key role in the establishment and coordination of the centre.

The event saw the participation of heads of departments, faculty members, staff, and students, making the ceremony both memorable and impactful.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof Lakshmi, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, organisers, and contributors for their support.
