Mangaluru, Nov 13: While some schools may have two or three pairs of twins studying together, the Government Model Higher Primary School at Thiruvailu in Vamanjoor stands out with as many as seven pairs of twins enrolled in the same institution — a truly rare occurrence within the city limits.
The school proudly accommodates Zhua and Ziam (Class 3), Disha and Dithya (Class 2), Sakshi and Rajeshwari (Class 2), Ganga and Jamuna (Class 1), Nidhi and Nisha (Class 5), Pranam and Pratham (Class 6), and Nishan and Nidhisha (Class 5). Among them, six pairs are from the local area, while one pair hails from Ballari.

Of the fourteen twins, ten are girls and only four are boys. Two pairs consist of a boy and a girl, four pairs are twin girls, and one pair are twin boys.
The Thiruvail school has achieved excellence in several areas, and this unique situation adds another feather to its cap. Watching all seven pairs of twins play and interact on the school campus is a delightful sight. On their birthdays, they often come dressed in matching outfits, making it a heart-warming and memorable experience for everyone.
