Karkala, Nov 11: Sudheeksha, a student of class 8 from Christ King English Medium High School, Karkala, has brought pride to her institution by securing first place and qualifying for the national-level karate tournament.
The event was organized under the aegis of the Department of Public Education, Government of Karnataka, and the Office of the Deputy Director, Davanagere. The state-level karate tournament for girls under 14 years of age in the 50 kg category was held at Fatah Kannada and Urdu Primary School, Maganahalli, Davanagere.
Sudheeksha emerged victorious in her category and earned a berth to represent Karnataka at the national-level competition.
She is the daughter of Divakar K Poojary and Usha K from Renjala.
