Calangute, Nov 10: In a fresh operation targeting illegal activities along the coast, Calangute Police on Saturday booked two individuals for engaging in unauthorised dealings on the beach. The police also detained 13 touts and illegal agents under Section 34 of the Indian Police Act.

According to officials, most of those apprehended hail from Uttar Pradesh and Odisha. The action was part of a continued effort by the Calangute Police to curb touting and other unlawful activities that disrupt tourism and public order along the popular beach stretch.

Police said regular patrols and surprise checks will continue in the area to ensure a safe and hassle-free experience for visitors.
