Mumbai, Nov 9: Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who stars in the newly released film Jatadhara, believes that making mistakes is an essential part of growth — both in life and in her artistic journey.
Speaking to IANS during the film’s promotional campaign, the actress reflected on how she views failure and learning. “You learn by making mistakes — how else would you learn? Even as children, that’s how it is. When a child falls, they learn. I think that applies to every phase of life and every profession,” Sonakshi said.
She added that she never fears failure or error. “Mistakes are nice; they keep things exciting. The learning process should never stop. The day you think, ‘I know everything,’ that’s your end — it’s over,” she remarked with a smile.

Sonakshi emphasized that the entertainment industry, in particular, is a space of constant evolution. “In our profession, every day is a learning experience. You pick up something new with every project, every role, every collaboration,” she said.
The actress also shared her thoughts on the growing trend of pan-India films, which bring together talent from multiple regional industries. Responding to whether this adds pressure to appeal to a wider audience, she disagreed: “The more the merrier. We get to work with such wonderful artistes, and everyone brings their own story, culture, and craft. That exchange of creativity is the best part of being an actor.”
Sonakshi’s grounded outlook — embracing imperfection as part of growth — mirrors her evolving career choices, as she continues exploring diverse roles across genres and languages.
