Gurugram, Nov 9: In a disturbing incident in Gurugram, two Class 11 students allegedly shot their classmate using a licensed firearm belonging to one of the accused’s father, police said on Sunday. The 17-year-old victim is undergoing treatment at a private hospital, while both teenagers have been detained for questioning.
The incident took place on Saturday night at Central Park Resorts, Sector 48, a posh housing society in the city. According to authorities, the main accused called the victim to an apartment rented by his father, where the shooting occurred.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the attack stemmed from a quarrel between the students that had taken place earlier. All three teenagers attend a school located near the housing society.

The victim’s mother, in her complaint to Sadar Police Station, stated that the accused had repeatedly called her son to meet, and he eventually agreed. Upon reaching the apartment, another friend of the accused was already present. It was then that the main accused allegedly opened fire with his father’s licensed pistol, injuring the victim.
Police, responding to the call, found that the victim had been rushed to Medanta Hospital for treatment. During a search of the apartment, authorities recovered a pistol, a magazine, five live cartridges, an empty shell, and another magazine containing 65 live rounds. A forensic team was also deployed for further examination.
A case has been registered, and a detailed investigation is underway. Gurugram Police have urged all firearm owners to safely store licensed weapons and ensure they are kept out of the reach of children to prevent similar incidents.
Further updates on the case are awaited.
