Never shout your children for poor in studies. Don't put them pressure. Some children's memory power is very weak. Parents should understand. No worries let them complete 10 after they can choose any professional courses. Like ITI etc. even I was very weak in memory. My parents never scolded me. I told them I will go for car mechanic course they agreed and now I m working for Hitachi earth moving company in Doha Qatar

I believe (my opinion shouldn’t bother others)-disclaimer Father was called to school and was shamed by teachers, having got humiliated he drove back to home only to to take his frustration on his son by assaulting that led to his death and what happened thereon ?

Its a big shock to hear student of 9th standard suicides.May be his parets must have scolded him to bring more efforts in school after coming from headmasters room? They are not giving their mistake now?Hard to digest this.Kindly dont put pressure on small children. All are not same.If possible try to give them bit more attention and arrange help.Hope other parents have learnt from this.May his soul find peace.Heartfelt sympathies to family. The teacher who gave infos of this student must be now taken to task.Afterall 9the standard student is not big academic boy.

"academic performance was not satisfactory" School does not have autority to say so. By saying so School itself says that they are not capable of training students. They should be punished.

We must first learn not to blame teachers for a students misbehavior or lack of attention towards their studies. Lone teaches takes classes of 40 plus students and they do their best to impart guru's knowledge into students brain without any bias. Of course punishment would be meted on mischievous students. On the part of parents, they also keep worried if a child never improves in studies. I feel over pressurizing a child to secure high percentage is bit unfair.

Give freedom to children, don't force them for anything, Teachers are responsible for his death. Sadly one more suicide case happened in Rajasthan where a class 4 girl student jumped from fourth floor of school.

Never ever heard of an incident of a suicide being committed by a 14 year Teen. Possibly, he was poor in studies and must have been under constant fear of being punished parents. We cannot blame parents for his death. Every parent keeps worrying when their child neglects the studies and expect better performance in their studies. Too late now. R.I.P. Lakshman
