Daijiworld Swara Sagara grand finale set to dazzle Udupi on Nov 9

Udupi, Nov 7: The stage is all set for the much-awaited grand finale of the popular singing reality show Daijiworld Swara Sagara, hosted by Daijiworld Udupi Studio under the banner of Kishoo Enterprises. The grand musical showdown will take place at St Mary’s English Medium School, Kannarpady, Udupi, on November 9, starting from 2:00 pm onwards.

Music lovers can watch the event live and witness who will emerge as the title holder of Daijiworld Swara Sagara Season 1.

After weeks of intense competition and melodious performances, seven top contestants have made it to the grand finale. They are all geared up to showcase their versatility, talent, and stage presence across three challenging rounds, promising a spectacular musical evening before a massive audience.

From over 40 talented participants shortlisted during the auditions, these seven finalists stood out with their exceptional vocal abilities and passion for music. Now, they will compete one last time for the coveted title of Daijiworld Swara Sagara Season 1 Champion.

A landmark event in the musical landscape of Karnataka, Daijiworld Swara Sagara has been instrumental in providing a prestigious platform for budding singers from the coastal region, nurturing their talents and paving the way for future musical opportunities.

The grand finale will be hosted by ace anchor and theatre artist Alwyn Andrade from Sasthan. A multifaceted talent, Alwyn is a playwright, actor, and director known for his exceptional contributions to Kannada and Konkani theatre. He has written, directed, and acted in numerous plays staged across India and abroad. Beyond theatre, he has organized major cultural and musical events, including ‘Voice of Karavali’, ‘Voice of Dasara’, and ‘Singing Star’ competitions.

His artistic excellence has earned him multiple honors, including the Ranga Ratna Award from the Konkani Sahitya Academy and the Manjunath Award from Karanth Pratishthana, Kota. Internationally, Alwyn Andrade won twin awards at the Global Comedy Challenge in Qatar and secured first prize in the Namma TV and Konkani Sahitya Academy comedy competition. Alwyn is also a two-time winner of the Daijiworld TV Comedy Competition. Apart from his stage work, he has acted in three feature films and several short films, while also serving as an active member of organizations such as the Rotary Club and Sharadotsav Committee. He has also played a key role in the development of Pandeshwar Kannada Medium Higher Primary School.

The valedictory ceremony will be compered by Suchith Kotian, a dynamic media personality and lecturer at MGM College, Udupi. Kotian, who has over 12 years of teaching experience in journalism, has received several accolades, including the Yuva Media Guru Samman Award (2016) and the Kurkalda Bolli title (2017). He is also a prolific writer, anchor, and quiz master, known for his engaging style and social involvement through initiatives like Fragrance of Humanity. He actively contributes as a volunteer anchor for Daijiworld TV. A versatile and engaging host, Suchith Kotian has anchored over 1,000 events.

The musical ambience of the grand finale will be elevated by expert live instrumentalists featuring Arun Havanje on keyboard, Vaman Bailoor on rhythm pad, Prajwal Acharya Udupi on tabla and dholak, Vincent Mangalore on lead guitar, and Ankith Thomas Calcutta on bass guitar.

The singers will also be accompanied by dancers from the vibrant Darpana Dance Group, adding visual charm to the event.

Distinguished guests expected to grace the event include key personalities from the coastal region, along with Walter Nandalike, founder and managing director of Daijiworld Media Private Limited, and other dignitaries.

Kishore Gonsalves, managing director of Kishoo Enterprises, expressed his joy and pride at the success of the show. “We have been running our operations in the Udupi region for 18 years for Daijiworld.com. As we approach 10 years of operations on the Daijiworld TV platform, we wanted to do something big — that is how Daijiworld Swara Sagara was born. The success of this show belongs to our hardworking team. The pillar of this entire program is Yashwanth M G, who is not only the main judge but also the director and backbone of the show. Along with him, Dolphy and Alwyn Andrade played major roles. The response from participants and audiences has been overwhelming. More than 150 contestants, including some from the Northeast, joined the auditions. The talent level was exceptional, making eliminations very difficult. Every round was carefully planned with unique themes, and through this journey, we discovered many gifted singers. Teamwork and passion have truly made Daijiworld Swara Sagara special,” he said.
