Mangaluru: Six-year-old boy injured in stray dog attack in Bajpe

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Nov 7: A six-year-old boy sustained injuries after being attacked by stray dogs in Souharda Nagar, under the Kandavara gram panchayat limits in Bajpe, on Thursday.

The injured boy has been identified as Ahil, son of Muhammad Azhar, a resident of Souharda Nagar.

According to reports, the incident occurred when Ahil was returning home after attending madrasa. A group of stray dogs suddenly surrounded and attacked him, biting his cheek and hand, causing serious injuries.

Hearing the boy’s cries, his mother rushed out of the house and rescued him. He was immediately taken to the Bajpe government hospital and later shifted to Durg Sanjeevini Manipal Hospital in Kateel for advanced treatment.

Speaking about the incident, the boy’s uncle, Muhammad Muzammil, expressed frustration over the repeated stray dog menace in the area. “We have been appealing to the Kandavara gram panchayat for the past three years to take action to protect residents from stray dog attacks. However, no steps have been taken so far. When questioned, officials cite court orders restricting the killing of stray dogs,” he said.

Dogs are loving animals. They love much more than we love them. I have three stray dogs with me every day. There are some other dogs who do not care for me. I had seen my(my freinds) dogs barking at the people falling on the road and also chasing cars.....but not biting them. Children must stay put instead of running away. speak to them and they will not attack them for sure. I can not explain all my experinces about dogs sorry

Stray dogs menace is everywhere. Now attacking people ,children etc is their daily programm .Why one does let a dog out on street ?Are they helpful for anything?Govt.must make a rule in future for everydog should have a chip .So that when a dog is let out one knows whose it is and owner must pay.Govt must make arrangement if they dont want to kill for a shelter and feed them .but not on road. Some people feed them on road so they wait there ad when someone dont give them they attack them.

"Its sad that the little boy was attacked.. pray that he recovers soon ...However Dogs don't usually attack simply ." There is a wise thought ' Today it is with me and Tomorrow may be with you' Never contradict but realize the fact and try to digest the same.🙏

Its sad that the little boy was attacked.. pray that he recovers soon ...However Dogs don't usually attack simply . I've seen so many dogs simply go their way or sleep quietly as passers by walk safely. There' has to be a prior action of beating or thrashing or chasing the dogs.. animals hv good memory. Dogs also attack due to fear. Please Check if the dogs were bullied or given bad treatment earlier. Recently in Thokotu, i was in the bus, I saw two young boys chasing dogs with sticks trying to beat them. Why.. ? I saw the whole episode.. the animals just ran away in fear. Why can't we let them be on their own? Sometimes news is blown out of proportion by media too. Being brutal towards strays or taking cruel action is not the only solution. Go to the root cause before passing judgements.

"Wake-up call" Incidents of stray dog attacks are happening in the society on regular basis and our authorities are engaged in designating places to feed them. (Royal life) Time to act to resolve the issue with Iron fist.👊🙏
