New Delhi, Nov 6: The Delhi Police have busted an immoral trafficking racket operating from a spa in Paharganj and rescued six women following a tip-off received through the ‘Say Help’ application, officials said on Thursday.
According to police, the “Say Help” app is a global voice-activated emergency platform that allows users to raise alerts using preset voice commands or a push button. The app instantly transmits live video, audio, and GPS data to emergency contacts and law enforcement agencies through SMS and WhatsApp, enabling real-time monitoring and map-based tracking. It also features health check-ins and collaborates with NGOs and police to combat gender violence and trafficking in high-risk regions like Delhi.

Police said that on the intervening night of October 30 and 31, an alert was received through the Say Help app regarding suspected immoral activities in the Paharganj area. Acting swiftly, a joint team from the Special Staff (Central District) and the Say Help operations unit launched an investigation.
After conducting technical surveillance and gathering field intelligence, the team received credible information about a spa on DBG Road, Nabi Karim, allegedly involved in trafficking-related offences.
A decoy customer was deployed with Rs 2,000 in pre-noted currency and instructed to send a WhatsApp missed call as a signal once the illegal activities were confirmed. Around 7.30 pm, the decoy confirmed the illicit operations, prompting an immediate raid. Six women and a female receptionist were found engaged in immoral activities.
During questioning, the receptionist confessed to running the operation along with her husband.
A case was subsequently registered at Nabi Karim Police Station on October 31 under Sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
Police said further investigation is underway to identify other members linked to the racket and ensure rehabilitation of the rescued women.
