Rahul Gandhi alleges 25 lac fake voters in Haryana under ‘H Files’ exposé

New Delhi, Nov 5: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the Election Commission, alleging large-scale voter manipulation in Haryana, claiming that nearly one in every eight voters in the state is fake.

Speaking at a press conference titled “H Files”, Gandhi asserted that his team has uncovered “crystal clear proof” of around 25 lac fake or duplicate voters in Haryana’s electoral rolls. He also pointed to major discrepancies between postal ballots and booth votes, calling it an unprecedented pattern in the state’s electoral history.

“We have crystal clear proof that 25 lac voters in Haryana are fake — either they don’t exist, are duplicates, or have been created in a way that allows anyone to vote. One in eight voters is fake — that’s 12.5%,” Gandhi said.

According to the Congress leader, the alleged manipulation was not limited to isolated constituencies but part of a coordinated, state-level operation aimed at overturning a predicted Congress victory.

“We suspected this was happening not just in individual seats but across the state — and perhaps even nationally. Our candidates in Haryana repeatedly complained that something was off. Their projections didn’t match the final results. We’d seen this earlier in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra, but we decided to zoom into Haryana to uncover what went wrong,” he said.

Gandhi alleged that the difference between exit polls predicting a Congress win and the final results was due to this orchestrated voter fraud. He claimed that postal votes, which traditionally aligned closely with booth results, showed a striking and unprecedented divergence this time.

“For the first time in Haryana’s electoral history, postal votes were completely different from the actual voting trend. When I first saw the data, I couldn’t believe it — I asked my team to cross-check several times,” he added.

Urging young Indians to pay close attention, Gandhi said his allegations were backed by “100% proof.” He directly questioned the Election Commission’s credibility, calling the issue a “theft of democracy.”

“I want Gen Z and young voters to understand this is about your future. We’re certain a plan was put in place to convert a Congress landslide into a loss. Notice the Chief Minister’s smile and the system — the ‘vyavastha’ — he’s referring to after the election, when everyone expected a Congress sweep,” Gandhi remarked.

He also highlighted a striking example from the investigation — a woman who allegedly voted 22 times across multiple booths under different names, using a stock photo of a Brazilian model as her voter ID image.

“Who is this lady? She voted 22 times in Haryana, across 10 booths, with several identities. This is a centralised operation. Her image is that of a Brazilian model — a stock photo. And she’s just one among 25 lakh such records,” Gandhi claimed, adding that the Congress lost the state by only 22,000 votes.

The Congress has called for an immediate investigation into the matter and demanded accountability from the Election Commission, describing the alleged manipulation as an “attack on India’s democratic fabric.”
