Mangaluru: Students celebrate Karnataka’s rich heritage at St Agnes PU College

Mangaluru, Nov 3: The spirit of Karnataka's rich cultural heritage filled the air as the 70th Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great fervor at St Agnes PU College. The event showcased the immense talent of the students and their deep respect for the language and culture. The event was flawlessly anchored by Sangeetha and Anushree.

Students captivated the audience with a spectacular display of performances, including Dasa Padya, energetic folk dances like Kamsale and Suggi Kunitha, elaborate and traditional theatre form of Yakshagana, powerful dance-drama on Droupadi Vastrapaharana, unique dance presentation depicting the evolution of sandalwood and the rhythmic and vigorous drumming of Chende Kunitha.

The performances were meticulously prepared and executed, offering a beautiful representation of Karnataka's history, folklore, and artistic traditions.

The grand celebration culminated on a poignant note with the entire gathering joining in to sing the Nadageethe leaving a lasting impression of pride, unity, and love for Karnataka.

The principal, Sr Norine D’Souza, vice principal Sr Janet Sequeira, The convenors Shailaja and Sahana, teaching and support staff along with the students were present on the occasion.
