Moodlakatte Nursing College observes World Mental Health Day

Udupi, Oct 29: Moodlakatte Nursing College organised a World Mental Health Day programme at A V Baliga Memorial Hospital, Udupi, with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of mental health.

The event was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp.

The programme was compered by Sincy, while Tesca highlighted the significance of the day and emphasised this year’s theme, “Mental health in an unequal world: Mental health care for all, especially in crisis and emergency situations.”

Students performed a short play focusing on mental health awareness and the importance of community well-being, underscoring the need for compassion and support for those facing mental health challenges.

A V Baliga Hospital administrator Soujanya Shetty, social worker Suresh, and assistant lecturer of Moodlakatte Nursing College Chetana R, were present on the occasion.
