The entry for the show is free, and the organizers have appealed to all Konkani-speaking audiences to attend the show in large numbers and make it a grand success.

“When Mangalurean artistes travel to Mumbai or the Gulf, they receive immense love and support from the local audiences. Similarly, we urge Mangalureans to extend the same encouragement to this Mumbai troupe, who are travelling all the way to showcase their talent here,” the organizers said.

Speaking to Daijiworld, playwright Joseph D’Souza shared, “This drama was first staged in Mumbai in 2023 to a houseful audience. After the show, many people came forward some known, some strangers and appreciated our work. One even told me it was my best drama so far. The credit goes to my directors, William Machado and Hilary D’Silva, who also writes under the pen name Prasana Niddodi.” He added, “Though most of the actors have limited stage experience, their performances in this play are remarkable. One of them, Julie Vaz, has been on stage for over 55 years and has acted in numerous dramas, including those by comedy king Francis Fernandes Cascia.” Sharing his journey, Joseph said, “My interest in drama began during my teenage years in Mangaluru. I grew up watching drams at Don Bosco hall, the plays by renowned dramatists like M P D’Sa, Valerian Serrao, Giri, Chafra, J B Saldanha Kulshekar, Godfrey Pinto, etc and comedy skits at Wilfy Nites. So far, I have written eight dramas three in Mangaluru during the 1970s and five in Mumbai. In 2022, our team performed my play ‘Mhojhe Voili Kals Nivar’ in Don Bosco Hall, Mangaluru and in Mumbai, both of which were big hits. I am confident that the audience will love ‘Devache Ghadit Konn Modit..?’ just as much.”
