Sullia, Oct 24: Veteran Yakshagana artiste and theatre personality Sujana Sullia (S N Jayaram) passed away on Friday morning.

Popularly known as Sujana Sullia, Jayaram Navooru was a multifaceted performer in Yakshagana, the traditional dance-drama of coastal Karnataka. Sujana is survived by his son, Rangmaneya Sullia’s actor-director Jeevan Ram Sullia.

Sujana Sullia played a significant role in the cultural centre ‘Rangamane’ in Sullia, actively contributing to Yakshagana, theatre, and various other cultural activities.

His legacy as a versatile artiste and mentor has left a lasting impact on the local performing arts community.
