Udupi, Oct 18: Maruti Suzuki’s much-awaited Victoris was officially unveiled on Saturday, 18 October, at Abharan Motors, Udupi.

The launch ceremony began with a traditional lamp-lighting ritual, symbolising an auspicious start, followed by the formal unveiling of the vehicle by Poornima Suresh, a renowned actress, who graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Speaking at the event, Poornima Suresh expressed her appreciation for the brand. She said, I thank Abharan Motors for inviting me here. We often forget car names, but we always remember Abharan when it comes to cars. After the reduction in GST, cars have become more affordable, and for those who seek prestige in owning a vehicle, Abharan is the place to go. An artist in the automobile world can create wonders. I thank Abharan Motors for this initiative.”

Ashok A, assistant general manager of Union Bank of India, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the strong partnership between the bank and Abharan Motors. He said, “Abharan Motors and Union Bank have been long-time partners, growing together successfully. As the banking partner, we are delighted to support this journey. We know everyone here is eagerly waiting for the unveiling of this car, and I wish massive success for this launch.”

Archana N, divisional manager of Canara Bank, regional office, Udupi, shared her thoughts, stating, “Canara Bank has received great support from Abharan Motors in this sector. As a happy customer myself, I have witnessed the remarkable growth of Abharan Motors and our partnership. I thank them for their continued cooperation and commitment.”

The event concluded with the grand unveiling of the new model, amid applause and excitement. Keys were handed over to the first two customers who had booked the Victoris. The ceremony reflected Abharan Motors’ dedication to innovation, customer satisfaction, and excellence in the automobile industry.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Poornima Suresh, actress; Ashok A, assistant general manager, Union Bank of India; Archana N, divisional manager, Canara Bank, regional office, Udupi; Prabhu K G, retired manager, Union Bank Udupi; Dr Nishanth Bhat; Mahesh Kamath, director, Abharan Motors; Anand S Amin, general manager; Nagaraj Kamath; Arun Kumar, along with other staff members and esteemed customers.

Anand Amin, general manager of Abharan Motors, warmly welcomed the guests and dignitaries. The event was compered by Saneep Bhaktha.

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris has earned a 5-star Bharat NCAP crash test rating, making it the second model after the Dzire to achieve this distinction. It is also Maruti Suzuki’s first vehicle to feature Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
