Udupi: Auto driver dies after lorry rams into rickshaw at Hejamady

Udupi, Oct 17:
An auto driver lost his life after a lorry collided with his vehicle near Hejamady bypass on National Highway 66 on FrIday, October 17 morning.

The deceased has been identified as Rafeeq (37), a resident of Hejamady Masthikatte.

According to sources, Rafeeq was on his way to the mosque in his rickshaw early in the morning when a lorry coming from Mangaluru hit his vehicle near Hejamady bypass. Though locals rushed him to a nearby hospital with severe injuries, he succumbed soon after.

A case has been registered at Padubidri police station.
