Mangaluru, Oct 5: The blessing of vehicles was held at St Teresa Church, Paldane, Mangaluru, on Sunday, October 5.
After the holy Mass, the parish priest, Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, conducted the blessing ceremony by sprinkling holy water on the vehicles. He offered special prayers for the safety of the vehicles, their drivers, and all those who travel in them.
During the occasion, the hymn “Hisopan Mhazer, Udak Shimptday Somiya, ani Hanv Nital Jatalom; Dhun Tu Mhaka, ani Hima Pras Dhavo Jatalom” was sung.
More than a hundred vehicles were blessed during the event.
Present on the occasion were Elias Fernandes, vice president of the parish pastoral council; Austin Monteiro, secretary; and Priscilla Fernandes, coordinator of the spiritual committee.
