Awez Darbar bids goodbye to Bigg Boss 19 after four weeks

Mumbai, Sep 29: Social media influencer Awez Darbar, who boasts over 30 million Instagram followers, was evicted from Bigg Boss Season 19 on Sunday after failing to secure enough audience votes.

Awez, son of noted music composer Ismail Darbar, was nominated this week alongside Pranit More, Neelam Giri, Ashnoor Kaur, Gaurav Khanna and Mridul Tiwari. He had entered the reality show with longtime girlfriend Nagma Mirajkar and made early headlines when he proposed to her inside the house.

However, after Nagma’s eviction two weeks ago, Awez’s game lost momentum. Despite friendly ties with Abhishek Bajaj, Ashnoor Kaur and Mridul Tiwari, his subdued strategy drew repeated nudges from host Salman Khan to “up his game.”

The influencer’s clashes with Baseer Ali and Amaal Mallik—who once accused him of being unfaithful to Nagma—added drama but failed to boost his standing. The allegations were later dismissed but took an emotional toll on him.

A day before his exit, actress Gauahar Khan, married to Awez’s brother Zaid Darbar, entered the house as a guest and urged him to be more assertive. His last-minute efforts, however, could not prevent elimination.

With both Awez and Nagma now out, viewers await who will dominate the competition as the season heats up.
