Karkala, Sep 22: The Regional Youth Convention Cross Journey in the Udupi diocese officially came to an end on September 21, with a solemn Eucharistic celebration at St. Lawrence Minor Basilica, Attur.

The service was led by Fr Anil D'Souza, the parish priest of St Francis Church, Udyavar, and a former youth director. He was joined by Fr Steven Fernandes, the current youth director for the diocese of Udupi, and Fr Robin Santhumayer, the assistant parish priest at Attur. The faithful celebration brought together a large number of young people from across the diocese.

After the Mass, prayers were held for the success of the upcoming Regional Youth Convention, which will be held from October 2 to 5 in Karwar. Following the prayers, the regional cross was formally handed over by Fr Avinash Pais, who is the director of ICYM/YCS Karkala deanery, and his executive council to the ICYM & YCS DEXCO of the Udupi diocese, marking the official conclusion.
